Dashur - The Duality of Form

$1,800.00

The Duality of Form - Inspired again by the pyramids, this time Dashur and my own imagination. The main pyramid is based on the dimensions of the bent pyramid, slope angles of 54 and 43 degree, and the small ones at 51.5 degrees like Giza. Patterns obviously born of a straight layer billet but its orientation again giving a dynamic element to the structure. They have been deeply etched, giving even some texture to the 15n20 and revealing weld boundaries and grain structure.

The base is deeply etched wrought iron, entirely forged under the power hammer and a fullering tool to have the feeling of sand dunes backing a sand stone cliff. Its organic nature balancing the rigid geometric nature of the pattern and the pyramids.
